Facilities at Madurai Service Centre
It was proposed to have a Service center for Wind Mill Gearboxes to support the Green power Wind Mill Industry in view of increase in demand and inadequate service facilities for Gearboxes at wind mill locations. Madurai is one of the major cities in Tamilnadu and located almost at center place of all wind mill locations (130 to 200 KMs). The following are the Major machines, installed at Madurai Service Center: Hydraulic Power Press – 300 Ton Capacity – Capable of handling single job weight up to 15 Tons. Radial Drilling Machine. Heavy Duty Lathe (8 feet) Air Compressor (Screw Compressor) Induction Heaters of Different capacities – To handle Bearings and Gear Wheels of Maximum diameter up to 1.5 Meters. Oil heating tank. – For Shrink fit jobs. Cleaning tank – for Cleaning of old spares. Test Bed with 30 HP Motor & Variable speed Drive for No-Load trial run of Gearboxes. EOT Crane with TWO Hoists of 20 T and 10T capacity. Up to March-09 (from 1st June – 08, the date of Inauguration of plant) we have attended 40 nos. of various make, type and sizes of gearboxes of various capacities from 220 KW to 660 KW WTG planetary gearboxes at Madurai Works. The total billing value was 1.3 crores (Incl. of Sale of Spare and Service Charges). We have appointed 4 agents in different locations to serve better to our clients. We have approached many WTG manufacturers for regular annual contract business for servicing gearboxes and expecting good business. Also this Service Center is very much useful for attending all kind of Gearbox Complaints in time. We shall handle any type of Gearboxes of any make & capacity and any application.
